三藩市中華總商會顧問白蘭於9/18早上突然離世

在三藩市華埠為人所熟知的中華總商會顧問白蘭，在9月18日早上被發現在其家中突然去世，警方現時正在調查其死因。白蘭之前曾在中國大陸逗留了將近六個月的時間進行換腎手術，於今年早前才剛剛回美。白蘭在三藩市華埠是著名的社區民權運動人士，很多社區人士對白蘭的突然去世均感到非常震驚。有關她的喪禮事宜，白蘭的好朋友，同時也是社區領袖的Gordon Chin表示會在日後公佈。

Longtime San Francisco Political Activist Rose Pak died Sunday, 9/18. She was found deceased at home this morning, and the San Francisco Medical Examiner is still investigating.

As was well known, Ms. Pak returned earlier this year from a six-month stay in China, where she received a kidney transplant.

“We are all in a state of shock, and profoundly sad, at this moment,” said Gordon Chin, a founder and former director of Chinese Community Development Center, who is speaking on behalf of Ms. Pak’s family and close friends.“We will announce more details as they emerge, but right now we ask that the public and the media respect the privacy of the family, and give us some space,” Mr. Chin said. Mr. Chin said when more is known about Ms. Pak’s passing, the media will be informed. He said funeral plans would also be announced at a later date.
